GOAL:
Our goal for the day will be to Have FUN with water media. Experiment!
Jeannie will be working a sheet of 11” x 15” 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. Our subject(s) will be something we create from our imagination, such as from a doodle or a cliché phrase—example: cat out of the bag, cat on a hot tin roof, cock a doodle do, what a kluck! etc.
Once we have our subject sketched onto the paper, we will add texture and/or shapes from found objects or stencils, then add layers of watercolor and/or gouache. During the process, we may also add texture from found objects, splatter with Modge-Podge or add rubber cement, to our hearts desire. We may also attach pieces of torn “ill-fated” watercolors or home-made papers, mostly using Modge Podge.
